What is it?!!? Try to guess and then scroll down to see whether you were right!
This is Mr. Needlemouse and Alex. Mr. Needlemouse is an African Pygmy Hedgehog. Alex is a human being. Today I am linking up with the Macro Monday people - check it out! :)
I see Mr. Needlemouse is a hedgehog of the blue nosed variety. Or he is fascinated by the glow of an i phone! Lol!!
ReplyDeleteIt IS funny how he seems to be looking at the phone!
DeleteForgot to mention. Very cool macro!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much :)
DeleteGreat macro shot. Very cool little critter.
ReplyDeleteThanks - they are great pets!
DeleteI was going to guess a fur cap of some sort--cause I could see what I think is an ear in the first photo, but it being Mr. Needlemouse is way better. :)
ReplyDeleteIsn't that little ear cute ;)
DeleteThat's awesome! It reminds me of a game in Games Magazine that my brother used to get in the '80s where you had to identify an extreme close up of a common object. I'm not sure a pygmy hedgehog is a common object, but I really couldn't think of anything the photo reminded me of more than a hedgehog. I was sure I was wrong - what a great surprise to be right. He's really quite adorable.
ReplyDeleteI remember that! I think I should do this more often ;)
DeleteI guest it right! Cute fella, cuter than our porcupines.
ReplyDeleteYou have porcupines?!?!
DeleteHow cute they both are...I didn't get it right..
ReplyDeleteThanks for saying Alex is cute too - I think he is :)
DeleteI have no idea how I knew what it was and completely astonished that I was right. :)
ReplyDeleteThis was fun!
That's good - I don't think I would have known what those quills were if we didn't have them as pets!
Deletewow! a hedgehog...how cute!

ReplyDeleteIsn't he cute? His sister's name is Bubbles.
DeleteWell, my guess was a porcupine--I guess that's what I get for growing up in Michigan, as opposed to somewhere there are hedgehogs! What a cute little guy (the hedgehog, that is!)
ReplyDeleteI think porcupine is really close...hmm...we're going to give you half credit for that one - LOL!
DeleteI did not know...but it is a great macro!
