Such beautiful flower, nice photo...Greetings, Karin
Hi Karin - glad you stopped by!
The last line of your haiku made me smile! What a thought when applied to a flower!I just transplanted a peony which belonged to my husband's grandmother. I don't remember what color it is, as it was on her daughter's property and I didn't pay very close attention. But Aunt Bess wanted me to take it, and now she is gone, so I have. I need to go water it now...
For some reason, plants are good reminders of those who are gone. I'm glad you got a laugh out of the haiku. It is supposed to be funny! And, look how they are so full of ruffles that they tip over on their stems :)
an old flower and still popular. It is worth it.
You're right! I remember loving these when I was a kid!
Great post, Libby with the haiku complementing the beautiful flower wonderfully well. Thanks for your continuing support of Floral Friday Fotos.

Hey Michelle! Give it a go! These are the easiest poems there are to write. Just the whole 5-7-5 syllable thing... ;)
Delightful. And, I couldn't help it but the phrase that jumped into my mind after I read this was - ... and a grateful parent drives.
