Hi Libby, yes this is lovely, very pink. However, i still prefer the blue if i am the gardener. We cannot grow hydrangeas to its full glory in the hot tropics!
Ah yes, I don't know or ever seem to have the need to learn the names of these and other beautiful flowers, but I can recognize a sprinkler on a hot summer day sure enough. Very pleasant thoughts and photos. lovely Haiku.
mine made the smallest, saddest blooms as they love to drink you know! sots, they are!! and we are still in drought
yes yes certainly your haiku captured the evocative mood of these sweet flowers & i call Hydrangeas ---> grandmother flowers as mine had them in her yard beside the back kitchen door and even as i read your poem i can hear the sprinklers and smell the water in the air...
The pink of your picture and your haiku take me back to my granny's yard and being a small child... with so much life to come... and the embrace of her arms that hold me still as I remember... thank you so!
Hi Sallie - I just clicked over and looked at your hydrangeas - WOW! Love the light purple and the two colors on one bush photo too! Thanks for coming by :)

ReplyDeleteThanks Michelle! There was a great one across the street from me...big pink and blue blooms on the same bush!
